Haven't really blogged in a really long time, since facebook came into my life, facebookis my life. But I've read this book called "abandoned" by anya peters, also the writer of a blog, called "WanderingScribe". Her story is really touching and inspiering. It all starts when her birthmother leaves her in London with her sister for her to raise. Her aunt is her mom throughout her childhood and her biological mother never tells anyone except a few that anya is her daughter. Anya never feels like she belongs in her family in London, which her uncle constanty reminds her of she is not a part of. He eventually starts abusing her, sexually and behaves violently towards her a lot of the times. Finally it cracks for Anya and she tells someone, when that happens she can't stop and it ends up with the uncle going to jail and the family that Anya knows gets splitt up and is never the same. Her mom can't handle what's happend to her and leaves. Anya goes to boarding school and becomes a lawyer, but ends up in a bad relationship, gets depression and decides to leave London. Without an income she ends up living in her car, homeless, lonely and abandoned. Even in her darkest hours of depression she never turns to drugs, which I find very impressive. I googled her blog and read some of it, which made me think of my own blog as I was writing a comment on her latest one. This is definatly a good one. You should read it.
Peace out. XOXO - HC
